Effortless function, designed for calm everyday living
When our client moved into their new home, updating the kitchen was high on the priority list. Having previously designed a kitchen and utility room for them in their former house, we already had a clear understanding of what worked well for their lifestyle and, just as importantly, what they wanted to do differently this time around.
That shared history made the design process both efficient and enjoyable. The brief was a light, elegant kitchen with matt finishes, a warm colour palette and the same level of everyday practicality they had loved before.
Kitchen Peninsula
The existing layout featured a peninsula, which the clients were happy to keep. Rather than reinventing the space, the focus was on refining it. We suggested enlarging the peninsula slightly, giving the kitchen a stronger focal point while improving both storage and usability.
By enhancing proportions, improving flow and using colour and reflection thoughtfully, the kitchen now feels larger, brighter and more balanced.
Sand Beige, Marble & Bronze Tones
Drawn to soft, matt doors in a light palette, we introduced two complementary tones of Burger cabinetry in Sand Beige and Greige. These were paired with Dekton Aura worktops, chosen for their pale, marble-inspired veining.
To further enhance light and space, a bronze mirror splashback was added above the upstand. This reflective finish bounces light around the room, instantly making the kitchen feel brighter and more spacious.
The Caple Leesti sink in Mink pairs beautifully with the Greige cabinetry and Dekton worktops, creating a subtle yet considered contrast. Practicality remained key, with a Rangemaster Professional Plus range cooker, an integrated microwave within a wall unit and open shelving positioned between the window and door, perfect for displaying personal touches.
