Created as part of a major house renovation
This project began with a brief for a light Shaker kitchen. A generous island with seating and, above all, plenty of wow factor. The combination of:
- Bauformat Girona cabinetry,
- Vadara Soltera quartz worktops,
- Rotpunkt glass feature units
- Antique brass details
Creates a kitchen that feels bright, elegant and considered.
Light & Timeless Cabinetry
Bauformat Girona cabinetry in a silky matt finish keeps the overall look light and timeless, while providing plenty of practical storage.
The scale of the room also allowed the design to incorporate a substantial central island with breakfast bar seating, creating a natural place to gather.
The light cabinetry is complemented by Vadara Soltera quartz worktops, introducing subtle movement and warmth across the island and surrounding work surfaces.
A bronze mirror splashback adds another dimension, reflecting light into the room while bringing a richer, more decorative detail to the scheme.
Decorative Details
One of the standout elements is the bank of tall cabinetry. Rotpunkt glass feature units introduce contrast and provide an elegant way to display glassware. The integrated Dunavox wine chiller adds both function and a distinctive feature.
Antique brass details help bring the scheme together. Alexander & Wilks handles are paired with a Quooker Fusion tap in antique brass.
Sensio lighting adds warmth and atmosphere without overpowering the soft cabinetry and worktops.
Designed around the client
When Kitchen Designer Diane visited the finished project, the client told us the kitchen had “exceeded her expectations” and that she was “absolutely delighted with it”.
It has become exactly what the design set out to achieve: the heart and hub of her home.
