Creating a Calming Kitchen Oasis

Clients often seek to create a kitchen that is both restorative and calming. This particular client wanted to add a bit of luxury to their kitchen while also making sure they had a space that could go the distance. The challenge was finding the right combination of materials and colours to achieve this goal.

 

Using Natural Colours as Inspiration

The colour palette of any room should be one of the main considerations when designing your space. To create a luxurious yet calming atmosphere in our homeowner’s kitchen, we chose Rot Punkt Zerox VER FM in City Nature Oak for its natural warm colour inspired by nature to evoke feelings of warmth and relaxation. To complement this, we chose Rot Punkt Zerox HPL XT in Snow for a bright, clean look that offers plenty of contrast with the natural wood tones. The combination of these earthy tones creates a sense of harmony while adding visual interest to the space.

 

Creating A Restorative Space

No matter how busy life gets, having access to a restorative space can make all the difference in maintaining a balance between work life and home life. To achieve this goal for our clienr’s kitchen, we chose hard-wearing materials, which will stand up well against wear and tear over time and that not only look good but also feel good. We also opted for a handleless design and complimentary oak open shelving in order to keep the overall look minimalistic and clutter-free. 

 

By combining these two elements—natural colours and handleless design—the client was able to create a calming oasis where they can relax!
