Embracing the Beauty of Dark Green Kitchens

Updating your kitchen can be a daunting task, but when it comes to choosing a colour scheme, there are no hard and fast rules. While white, cream, and grey kitchens might be popular, they are not the only options. Some homeowners are opting for dramatic colours such as dark green to bring their kitchens to life. The project explores how our clients embarked on the design process and created a beautiful dark green kitchen with contrasting white stone worktops and complementary brass hardware.
Green is a versatile colour, ranging from soft leafy hues to moody forest tones.
The clients fell in love with the Copse Green shade, and they liked the idea of having easy to clean, matt doors with brass handles. The choice of dark green cabinetry in their kitchen added a touch of luxury and intrigue, and the complementary white stone worktops added a touch of elegance. The island with the warm solid oak worktop brought in natural and earthy tones, adding warmth to the room.
The process of designing a dark green kitchen might seem tricky, but it’s all about balance. Our designer created mood boards and 3D models to help them envision their dream kitchen. The Second Nature Kitchen in Fitzroy fits perfectly with their vision and achieved the desired effect. The 20mm stone Italiana in Bianco Cimbra worktops, upstands, and splashback provided a crisp white backdrop against the dark green cabinetry. The 40mm solid oak worktop on the island gave a natural texture that complemented the brass hardware.

When choosing a dark green kitchen, it’s crucial to get the details right.
The clients took care in selecting their appliances, picking Neff appliances that complement the overall aesthetic of the kitchen. The Carron Phoenix Belfast 200 Double Bowl Ceramic Sink added to the luxurious feel of the kitchen. The Miro Filo Canopy Ceiling Hood blends in with the chimney surround and mantle piece, creating a seamless look. These details may seem small, but create a huge impact.

A dark green kitchen might seem like a bold choice, but when executed well, it can bring luxuriousness and depth to your home.
The key to designing an amazing dark green kitchen is balance. The complementary white stone worktops and warm solid oak island gave a modern, crisp look to the kitchen’s dark green cabinetry. The brass hardware and appliances added a touch of glamour to the space.
